Happy Birthday to a Mouse lover-NOT!!!

Hi All,
My Mother-in-Law's birthday is this week and I wanted to send her a card as we won't be seeing her.  She is terribly afraid of mice, comes from growing up on a farm (or so she says....lol).  My friend, Leda stamped me off some images and sent them to me as I am in love with House Mouse stamps and have only started collecting them.  She even die-cut this one for me.  I water colored the image and used iridescent glitter glue on them (my favorite).  I inked the image with Dusty Concord Distress Ink from Ranger.  The sentiment is from Inkadinkado and that too was stamped and inked in Dusty Concord.  I punched the sentiment out with a SU punch.  The purple card stock in from Recollections and the embossed paper is from my stash.
I hope she gets the humour in this card (the mouse) and she doesn't stamp on it and scream as she does when she sees any form of mouse....lol

Birthday cards for a friend

Here are two cards that I made for a friend.  She ordered a few cards from me for up coming family member's birthdays.  They are both Magnolia Stamped images that I water colored and used iridescent glitter glue on the hair.  The lace in the blue card was from my stash and the lollipop flower is something I made several months ago.  The pearl bling is from the Recollections line at Michael's.  The paper is from my scrap bin, unsure of the company name.  I bought a bag of shells from Dollarama and that is what I used on the orange card.  The burlap was from the Floral department at Michael's and again, the patterned paper was from my scrap bin. The sentiment was from the 1.50 bin at Michael's.
I hope she liked the cards as did the recipients!

Happy Anniversary!

Hi All,
A quick post on a card I made last night for my Father and Step-Mother's 6th Anniversary that is this week.  This card is inspired by a card I received as a wedding card last summer from a friend of mine, Sue Dickson. The patterned paper is from Michael's as is the black and white card stock.  I punched out the scalloped circle and circle using my Marvi Punches.  The birds and branches were punched out using a SU punch.  The sentiment is from a Ditto stamp from Michael's that I heat embossed it with black embossing powder on shimmer paper from American Craft.  The ribbon is from Michael's Celebrated ribbon line.  The LOVE charm, I bought out the bridal section at Michael's on clearance. I used a white gel pen to add eyes to the birds.
It is off in the mail today!

Happy Anniversary Jim!!!

Hi All,
Recently, Jim and I celebrated our 1st Anniversary.  It was a lovely day, we went to a ball game and got Chinese take out, two of our favorite things.  I made this card for him.  The image I stamped was from Inkadinkado that I bought at Michael's last year.  I water colored it and used iridescent glitter glue on the back of the fish.  The plaid paper is from the Pet's Stack from DCWV.  I used jute twine on the card to make it more masculine.
I love you Jim!!!!

Welcome Back

Hi All, sorry it has been so long since I have posted, I have been brow beat into putting in a table a local Christmas Craft Fair and I have been busy trying to figure out what the heck to make....lol.  In the mean time, here is card that I made for a hubby's co-worker.  She for the past 16 months she has been in a different position within the organization and has recently returned to working with him.  She is a classy girly girl with a love affair with shoes and boots.  I made the card out of Bazzil card stock and cut the lady out on my Cricut using the Forever Young cartridge. The patterned paper is from the DCWV Street Lace collection.  the pink leopard printed ribbon is from Michael's.  The sentiment is set up by using letter stickers from our local dollar store.
She loved the card! I hope you do too!
