Thinking of you!

A wonderful man that I used to work with lost his brother rather suddenly last week. I didn't know about it until he had already returned from the funeral. I did up this card for him. It is black cardstock with white craft ink. I pulled out the ole' colored pencils and filled in the image. I then took a white pen and added random lines to the image to make it pop. I saw this technique on SMScrapper on YouTube. It was clean and tidy. I simply added some layers of cardstock that matched the colored pencils and adhered it all to a white card.

Woman Rock!

I have a wonderful friend who had to move to Ottawa last year due to her husband's new posting in the Navy. I was very sad to see her go and miss her greatly. Friday is her birthday and I made this card on the fly on Tuesday, to get in the mail so perhaps she would receive it ON her birthday (novel idea for me...lol). I used some of my scraps, I HATE to waste anything and have found myself in the 'use them or lose them' situation as I am DROWNING in scraps...lets be honest, I am DROWNING in supplies in general. The stamp set is an old one from Stampin Up, called 'Classy & Fabulous'. The ribbon was 'recycled' from a gift I received last year (drowning in supplies and I hoard everything that comes in the house, tags from gifts, ribbon off boxes, boxes, etc).

She is such a fabulous friend, Mother, and wife that the card was perfect.

Thanks for poping by!

Happy Birthday to You

My Niece's birthday was last week and I made this card and shipped it off to her ( a little late, 'sorry Sasha'). I used the Hampton Arts Cling set that I bought at Michaels on clearance a few weeks ago. I LOVE cupcakes, but what is there not to love. The paper is from my scraps so the name is unknown.

Get Well Soon

This is a quick card I made for my former boss who fell and broke her arm. I used Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut cartridge for the nurse and Peachy Keen stamps to stamp the face onto our care giver. I used a real bandage from our medicine cabinet to stamp on for the sentiment. Linda got a kick out of her.

Beer Anyone?

I made this card a couple of weeks ago for my Father-In-Law's Birthday. Reg loves a 'cold one' at the end of the day. I tried to find a bottle that was like his favorite brew but had to settle for this draft glass that I picked up at Michaels (EK Success). The paper is from an older Basic Grey line and the stamps are all from Hero Arts.

A Shoe Fit for a Princess!!!

I went to a crafty night with some wonderful ladies a while back (January, I think) and our friend Val taught us how to make these Fab shoes!!!! I love them and plan to make a few for some diva friends...lol

Alcohol Ink/Glossy Paper Sunflowers

Good Morning All,

Here are a few cards that I made using a technique that I saw Barbi demo at Carousel Rubber Stamps a few weeks ago. I have a 'thing' for sunflowers and when I got home from Demo Day, I tried my hand at 'abstract' sunflowers. I was pleased with them, my hubby (who supports all my projects) had no idea what they were but I loved them.

Thanks for taking a peek!!!

Simple Cards!

These are a few cards that I made one evening from bed while I was still recovering from that virus that I had several months ago. They are very simple cards, for quick notes to friends. The tea stamps are from TPC Studios and the paper is an old K&C paper line. I used the Studio G blank cards that Michaels sells in their 1.50$ bins(I am in Canada). The Fairy stamp is an acrylic stamp set from Inkadinkado set I bought ages ago.
