Fashion Lives On!

A quick card I did last night. I used a new La Blanche stamp (flourish) and a wonderful dress form stamp I bought a few months ago and NEVER used ( I know we ALL have items in our stash like that). The sentiment was a Hampton Arts stamp I bought last year at Michael's.

The brown satin ribbon is something my Step-Mother saved me off a set of throw pillows she bought. It is on shimmer brown card stock and Sepia Versa Fine ink. I spritzed the card with sheer Shimmer Spritz to finish it off.

I hope you like it!

A Girl's Night Out.

I did this card in a class a few weeks ago but it was a baby card, light colors, teddy bears, onesies, etc....since I am 'sans' children, I thought this would be a hot card for a girlfriend. I used black card stock and a left over scrap of paper from the RockStar collection from DCWV (the lips). The lingerie was a stamp I got ages ago. I simply stamped it and cut out the individual pieces. I used Sharpie Markers to color in the items. I punched the stilettos with an EK Success punch I have had for ages. The dress was a pattern from another card. I cut it out in pink satin paper and covered it with some fabic and colored the flowers on it with the Sharpie so it would match. I finished it off with a flat back pearl for a drawer pull.

I hope you like it!

Happy Anniversary!

Can you imagine being married for 46 years to the same person? Today, that is a rare thing. My In-Laws are about to celebrate that very number on May first. They are a wonderful couple that still want to spend their time together and still seem to 'like' each other.

This card is a House Mouse stamp that I bought at Photo Memories in Halifax and it is very appropriate for them!

I chalked the image and used brown flocking when the dirt from the shovel is supposed to be.

The patterned paper is from a Heidi Swapp paper pack that I purchased at Tuesday Morning in Bangor last year on our Honeymoon.

I cut the image out using Labels 10 from Spellbinders.

This is a very 'cute' card but after 46 years, who doesn't need a little 'cute'.

Have a great day!

A Girl Needs her Shoes!

These cards were inspired by a card I received last fall when I was really sick. I picked up some dollar stamps from Michaels with the vintage/retro shoes on them. the heels are a Hero Arts set. I watercolored the shoes and altered the flowers with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink and some homemade glimmer spray.

I thought they were cute little cards, perfect for a girlfriend, for any occasion!

Cupcakes Anyone????

Here are a few cards that I did up today while hubby was working.

The Cupcake Martini was inspiried by a birthday card that my friend Melissa made me in December. I watercolored the glass and cupcakes and used Glossy Accents on the candle flame and cupcakes. The sentiment was from a set of Inkadinkado stamps I got on clearance at Michaels a few months ago.

The birthday cupcake card I colored the cupcakes using my colored pencils and mineral spirits. I used diamond Stickles on the frosting. The flowers were Recollections (from Michaels) that I altered with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink and some homemade Glimmer spray that I made up a while back, finishing it off with some BLING...gotta love bling. I added some seed beads to the frosting to make 'sprinkles'. The sentiment was from a Hero Arts stamp set.

I hope everyone had a great Easter!

Happy Easter Everyone!

I have a friend with a little guy (2 1/2 yrs old) named Dominic and he is my husband's best friend...lol....he is in the...hmmm....'terrible twos' right now and the only treats he likes is Smarties. So from 'Aunty Mel' we needed to hunt up some Smarties today.

For the project I packaged the treats up in celo bags. I cut out a top note shaped Tim Holtz die and embossed it with the Cuttlebug swirl folder. The tag is a Stampin Up stamp and punshed out with a SU punch. I cut out the bunny on these bags with 'Create a Critter' Cricut cartridge and I sparkled up his nose, ears, and cheeks with some Martha Stewert glitter.

I hope the bunny finds you all this weekend and if you are traveling, safe journeys!

Thanks for 'Peeping' in.

She is wonderful!

I was playing around the other night with some scrap shimmer paper (I hate to throw anything out) and some black lace. I borrowed a stamp set from my friend Kim and the sentiment is from that set.

Easter Card class

I love Easter cards. I took a few classes over the past few weeks at a local stamp store (Carousel Rubber Stamps). Here are a few of the cards that we made.

Happy Easter everyone!

Hubby's Humour!

Here is a card that I started in a Copic class at Carousel Rubber Stamps, in Dartmouth but I added my Husband's humour to the card with the sentiment. This is actually his birthday today and this card is for him.
